Born in Brisbane and educated at Churchie and the University of Queensland, Malcolm’s career took him to London before settling on the Sunshine Coast with his wife, Maya, where they raised their three children, Truman, Elena, and Mace.

Malcolm's Story

A community-minded professional, Malcolm balances a successful legal career with deep involvement across a wide range of sectors including business, education, sport, conservation, and the arts. His leadership and service include:

  • The Sunshine Coast Event Centre Director (2017 – present)

  • Rotary Mooloolaba member and Director (2024 – present)

  • Headland Golf Club President 1997 – 2000) and Captain (1989 – 1990)

  • Sunshine Coast Grammar School Chairman and Director (1999 – 2003)

  • Twin Waters Golf Club Founding Board Governor (1989)

  • Australia Zoo Wildlife Warriors Management Committee (2002 -2024)
     

A passionate advocate for conservation and the arts, Malcolm is also an enthusiastic gardener, a (sadly average) golfer, and enjoys staying active through a variety of sporting pursuits.

In his legal practice, Malcolm is known for his strategic thinking and client-first approach. He says:
