Malcolm McColm has been a Committee Member of the charity organisation since its establishment in 2002. The Committee meets regularly to foster and drive forward the foundation's world-renowned environmental conservation efforts.

Malcolm has also committed extensive time and expertise to the local rugby community, particularly in junior sporting development in his role as manager of the Sunshine Coast Grammar School rugby team for the past eight years.

Jeans for Genes Day
Each year the team at McColm Matsinger Lawyers participates in fundraising for the Children’s Medical Research Institute. The team collectively raises money and support the cause by wearing their jeans for the day. This is a worthy charity and all involved enjoy participating.

Practice manager, Clare Farley is a regular fundraiser for the Cancer Council of Australia through the 'Relay for Life' program.

Destiny Rescue
The firm sponsors a child through Destiny Rescue and her name is Tikhamporn. Destiny Rescue is about making a difference to 1000’s of children and their families by fighting to end poverty and child slavery. Trish Wiffin assists as a volunteer receptionist and admin officer at the Community Legal Services at Nambour which gives help to members of the local Sunshine Coast community.

The firm as a whole also participates in numerous charitable events and local community sponsorship programs. These include the annual Steve Irwin Gala Dinner, which raises funds for the Australia Zoo Wildlife Warriors conservation efforts, and the firm has been the longest serving sponsor of the Headland Golf Club annual Pro Am, evidencing our commitment to the long term service of our local community.
